Bulldog Rooter - Our Story
In 2007, the Founder of Bulldog Rooter, Butch wanted to start a new career and so he began a Drain Cleaning Company with his family, out of their home. Butch knew he needed a company name. One day, the family was talking about potential names for the business and then... right on cue, their family bulldog Boxcar comes rushing into the room! At that moment, one of his children says; "How about Bulldog Rooter?" And thus, Bulldog Rooter was formed! Then, one of the other boys said "Gotta Clog? Call the Dog!" and that became one of our motto's.
Not only that, our other motto; "We Never Leave a Mess", also comes from the unfortunate "accidents" that Boxcar had in the house. Butch used this as a teaching moment for his kids, but also made it the motto of Bulldog Rooter. If you see a mess, never leave it to be cleaned by someone else, always pick it up, even if it wasn't made by you! These are the standards that Bulldog Rooter lives by day in and day out, and it is one of the many reasons why we have been Eastern WA and Northern ID's best plumbing company around, for over 15 years and counting!

May, 2007 Butch started Bulldog Rooter out of his home with his wife and 5 kids!
In 2009, the first Drain Technician was hired for Bulldog Rooter
2010, the first plumber, Steve, was hired by Butch for Bulldog Rooter. Steve is still with Bulldog Rooter over 10 years later!
In 2011, Bulldog Rooter had hired its first Administrative employee, Rick! Over 10 years later, Rick is still with Bulldog Rooter
2012, Bulldog Rooter became incorporated, leased our first commercial property and starting investing into staff's professional training and certifications to ensure our plumbers were certified master plumbers!
In the year 2013, 6 years after Butch began the company, Bulldog Rooter hit $1 Million in annual sales!
In 2015, Bulldog Rooter was community recognized as one of the Inland Northwest's premier plumbing, drain and rooting companies!
2017, Bulldog Rooter began its charitable contributions to our surrounding communities.
In 2019, We were awarded Silver Medal for Best Plumbers in Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Living Magazine's "Best Of" Awards!
In 2020, we onboarded our Sister Company, NuFlow Spokane - Trenchless Pipe Repair Company, and expanded our operations into Northern Idaho!
Presently we have 30+ employees on our plumbing team and continue to grow strongly each year, helping service our communities with the best plumbing and rooting services available!
